Head of Finance (HF-C001)

Candidate shall report to the Group CFO, responsible for the provision of leadership and oversight to the financial team in Nigeria. Building a world class financial team and implementing best practice financial management within the business is richly emphasized.

Main Responsibilities

-         Candidate shall handle the implementation of the financial team’s strategy, programmes, work plans, controls, policies and procedures so as to ensure a rigorous framework in compliance with company’s objectives.

-         Ensures timely financial reporting, budgeting, planning, cost control, and tax together with the development of the finance organization.

-         Timely and accurate provision of periodic financial reporting to help management decision-making and reporting to external stakeholders.

 Job Qualifications, Skills and Required Experience

-         Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting Finance and any other related field.

-         A required minimum year of post qualification is 15 with at least 5 years at senior management within the manufacturing industry.

-          Professional qualification such as ACA will be relevant.

-         Good understanding of advance financial and accounting best practices and IFRS and/or International accounting standards.

-         Working knowledge of ERPs (an added advantage for a candidate with SAP experience)

-         Ability to understand trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and related manufacturing legislations.

-         Candidate must however understand financial controls alongside foreign exchange operations and regulations.

-         A proven track record or sound experience in strategic financial planning and analysis.

-         Sound business acumen (financial and commercial knowledge)

-         Good and strong leadership and people management skills.

-         Interpersonal, communication and networking skills.

-         Integrity and high ethical standards.
