BOWEN UNIVERSITY ADMISSION

The Institution was granted operation license in 2001 by the Federal Government. It started academic activities in November, 2002. The institution commences its Academic Session in September, 2013/2014.

Entry Requirements

Candidate must have written the 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or has the Direct Entry (UTME) Form. Minimum of five (5) O’ Level Credit is required in Mathematics, English Language, and other subjects relevant to the proposed course of study. Candidates whose results are yet to be released can also apply if they have the confidence that the results will be available by September/October 2013.

Application Processes

Candidates are hereby instructed to obtain their forms from the designated Application Form Centres upon the payment of a non-refundable sum of N6500 in Bank draft payable to BOWEN UNIVERSITY, IWO. The designated Banks are:

        i.            Skye Bank

      ii.            Wema Bank

    iii.            GTB

    iv.            Zenith Bank

      v.            Sterling Bank

    vi.            Bowen Microfinance Bank Ltd, Baptist Academy Campus, Obanikoro, Lagos

Post-UTME

The institution shall organize a compulsory Screening Exercise for all applicants who chose the institution as First and Second choice. Candidates who didn’t choose the institution may also apply. The date for the exercise is Saturday, 1^st June, 2013. 9:00 am.

b)    Kaduna: Bethel Baptist Conference, Kawo, Kaduna.

e)     Benin: Edo State Baptist Conference, 1, NTA Road/West Circle Road, Benin City.

f)      Osogbo: Bowen Pre-degree Programme Centre, Ilobu Road, Osogbo.

g)     Iwo: Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State.

Important Information

Candidates applying through the centre above should go through the following information:

·         Name and address of candidate should be written at the back of the Bank draft.

·         Candidates applying by post must do that within the stipulated time and ensure that envelopes are accompanied by a N50 stamped (self-address envelop).

·         Completed application must be returned on or before Friday, 31^st May 2013.

Senior Financial and Administration Manager

Responsibilities

-         Candidate shall train, support and supervise staff in their financial responsibilities.

-         Update local financial, administrative and organizational procedures in line with ABT policies, protocols, USAID guidelines and regulations (and Nigerian laws).

-         Maintain full compliance with the USAID reporting and contractual requirements.

-         Lead all procurement, sub-contracting activities.

-         USAID project management experience and wild knowledge of AIDARs and FARs.

-         Proven track record as a senior manager in Finance and Administration.

-         Ability to support smooth and rapid implementation of project activities.

-         Ability to travel when required (both home and international).

-         Excellent organizational, computer and writing skills.

-         Good communication skill.
